With fond memories I bid adieu to 2007…
It’s been an exciting year in lots of ways (in chronological order from the beginning of the year, definitely not in order of importance):
- Answered “Five Things”
- Started a linkblog
- Got back to basics
- Got burned by Western Digital
- Visited the desert for the first time
- Started using Windows Vista
- Bought a bike thanks to advice from readers (and love it btw)
- Offered up a bunch of Delphi Wisdom before…
- I left Borland/CodeGear after nearly 15 years
- Joined Falafel software working with a few ex-Borland colleagues/friends
-
Started using a Mac and a laptop for the first time ever (we’re now a two Mac household, note to self buy Apple stock)
- Completed a remodel on our house adding a home office from which to work
- Bought a new car
- Welcomed a new baby, Bryce Logan into our family
- Went to Vegas for the first time
- Had an interesting go-round with the FreePascal community
- Snapped 3000+ more photos with my Nikon D70
- Added a bunch of new tools to my toolbox
- Posted 215 blog entries and made ~$760 on Adsense and Referrals equaling roughly a mocha per post! I definitely can’t quit my day job but it’s better than nothing.
That wraps it up. I look forward to 2008!
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year Steve and all your blog readers!
For Falafel as well, it has been a wondereful year and having you part of the team in 2007 was a major highlight for us. Your 10+ years of friendship, your tremendous work ethics and your quality as a person and as a software developer are all things that I treasure deerly and I know that all Falafel employees do as well. We wish you a very happy 2008 with your family and continous success at Falafel.
Blessings
