Vista voice recognition put to the test

March 10 2007 8:39AM
While reading though my feeds I stumbled into this video on YouTube where this guy is trying to write a Perl script using Vista's voice recognition features. Damn, that's funny!

Update: I've been debating about correcting this but I should have said speech, not "voice" recognition. So, there you go, I've now cleared that up.

Hey Eric,
Agreed! I had to pause it several times just to make it through the whole thing.

And after all that he saves it as "That was easy.txt", LOL!

Speech recognition is still pretty questionable for normal language patterns, attempting technical prose such as source code is going to be a waste of time for a long time to come.

Wayne,
This may mean Object Pascal could be the premier language for programming via voice recognition!  :-D
