Replacing Yahoo

January 25 2009 6:40PM

As the complaints about Yahoo’s homepage redesign continue pouring in on my Switch back post I thought I’d mention how I moved on:

Having been a Yahoo customer for well over ten years I’m a little torn though feel they left me more then I left them. Regardless, my Yahoo days pretty ended, I do wish them well as I know they’re struggling.

Whoever decided to cancel the regular "classic Yahoo" has the wrong concept of maintaining a customer quality service.

I really would like the old classic yahoo page back. I like the fact of seeing my email sign-in in front of me on the home page. I also don't find the maps and tv sites on the side bar. Please return to the classic home page. Thank you, Bob S

I am extremely disappointed.  I have had YAHOO as my server since 1999.  I have always supported Yahoo no matter what.  Now, listen Yahoo folks!  There is no excuse for that new change to that hideous http://m.www.yahoo.com web address.  PLEASE BRING BACK YOUR CLASSIC PAGE.  It is easier to read and maneuver.  Please...I hope you are reading my message and all others messages.  If you need financial support for CLASSIC View you may ask me or other folks.  Trust me, we will support the CLASSIC HOME PAGE.  I cannot tolerate this new home page and tried hours to get rid of it.  There is absolutely nothing great about it!!  I hope you read our commients and take it seriously.  What happened to Customer and majority feedback?  You are representing the people.

I sure hope you will come back to us with some goods.

Take Care,

A.

Well like most of you have indicated your disappointment  I to have had it, The new yahoo page quite simply stinks. I would like thank some of you folks for providing information on migrating emails addresses etc. to another client. Obviously they do not have any intent on changing back to the old format or at least giving you the choice. As such I have become very frustrated, aggravated, and disappointed as such I am moving on with no intention of returning. Even they went back to old format! The old format was user friendly stayed updated through the course of the day with TV programing (I have found that a refresh wont update to current time for TV programing in many instances) The comics where a favorite of mine and now they don't work correctly. Good luck to all in search of a new format I guess it was about time to move on anyway. I had been a loyal user for around 10 years or so. I haven't really decided where to go at this point and will probably take some time to figure it all out.

Best of Luck to all of you!!!

I absolutely hate the new yahoo page.  I get tired of everytime I move my cursor something pops up that I'm not interested in.  Don't even try to move around with your cursor on the left side of the page as it's full of someone trying to sell you something.  It stinks.  I have been a user for 12 years.  Goodbye Yahoo hello new email and home page.

I hate this new yahoo!  The thing that made yahoo so great was the layout.  Why can't you leave the BEST alone!

That's my email...for now!  Prolly not for long though!  I can't believe how bad the new...not improved Yahoo is!!  Everytime I open my emails and go back to the inbox, the email I was just looking at stays open and I have to close them individually!  And I don't like getting the script that reads if you continue to use this script, it could lock up the entire yahoo!!

So I want to change to another homepage right away!  Since we are getting nowhere with Yahoo.com, could we turn this forum into suggestions for a better homepage?  Hoping for input!  Thanks!!

Boo....Yahoo...Boo!
